1. Upfront Payment
An upfront payment of 30% of the total booking fee is required to confirm all bookings. This amount is applied toward the photographer’s fee, and it is not refundable.
2. Payment Timeline
To ensure a smooth and timely booking process, all payments, including deposits and full payments, must be completed within 7 calendar days of receiving the invoice.
Deposit: A deposit is required to secure your booking. If the deposit is not received within 7 days, your booking may be canceled and made available to other clients.
Full Payment: For sessions where full payment is required upfront, the total amount must also be paid within 7 calendar days of the invoice date to confirm your booking.
Failure to meet the payment deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking. If you encounter any issues with the payment timeline, please get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.
3. Drone Photo Delivery
Drone photos and videos will be delivered only after full payment has been received and cleared. No previews or partial drone files will be shared before payment is complete.
4. Failed or Refused Payments
If full payment is not received within 14 calendar days after the due date, the Photographer reserves the right to permanently terminate any collaborations with the Client.
Any future services or bookings will be declined until outstanding payments are settled in full.
5. Cancellation and Booking Policy
Full Refund: If the Client cancels the booking at least three (3) calendar days before the scheduled session, the Photographer will issue a full refund if payment was made in advance
(does not apply to weddings).
Partial Refund: A 50% cancellation fee will apply to cancellations made less than three (3) calendar days before the scheduled session if paid in advance.
No Refund for Post-Session Payment: If the Client opts to pay after the photo shoot, no refunds are applicable; the booking will be canceled with no additional fees applied.
6. Photographic Materials and Copyright
Ownership: All photographic materials, including digital images and slides, are the exclusive property of the Photographer unless sold to the Client with an included ownership document signed by the Photographer.
Copyright: The Photographer retains full copyright to all images created and reserves the right to use these images for samples, exhibitions, advertising, self-promotion, and other purposes.
Client Consent for Portfolio Use: The Client must consent to use the photos in the portfolio if their faces are visible in the picture.
Media usage: All images shared with media outlets remain the copyright of the Photographer. Media outlets may use the pictures strictly for editorial purposes, and the Photographer must be credited by name under the pictures instead of generic terms like "promo."
The Client is responsible for ensuring media outlets comply with this copyright policy. Without prior written consent from the photographer, unauthorized use, editing, or distribution of the images is prohibited.
7. Use of Shared Material
Any content shared on our social media shall not be screenshotted or reposted without permission. Proper credit by tagging @realislands (Instagram) or Island Media (Facebook) is required if reshared, and the tag must be clearly visible in the post. Unauthorized use may result in removal requests or legal action.
8. Delivery Timeline
General Delivery: Edited photos will be delivered to the Client with 15 highlight photos for marketing and media usage within 1-3 business days following the session.
Wedding Photography Delivery: For wedding photography, the delivery of edited photos will be completed within 3 to 4 weeks from the wedding date, depending on the number of photos taken.
A sneak peek or highlight selection of the first 100 photos may be provided within 5 days after the event, upon request.
Late Delivery Discount: If the Photographer fails to deliver the photos within the specified timeline, a 15% discount will be applied to the total booking fee.
9. Payment Terms and Deadlines
Payment Schedule: The full booking fee must be paid in full no later than 10 days after the scheduled session or event.
Deposit: A 30% upfront payment is required when booking to secure the session.
Accepted Payment Methods: Payments can be made via Revolut, Bank Transfer, Cash, or Bitcoin.
Late Payment: Failure to complete the deposit payment by the specified deadline (7 days) may result in the cancellation of the booking.
10. Social Media Policy
Photographer Credit: When sharing images on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, blogs), the Client agrees to credit the Photographer unless stated otherwise.
Prohibition on Alterations: The Client agrees not to alter or modify images (including cropping, filters, or other adjustments) when posting online. The Client also accepts responsibility for ensuring that family and friends adhere to this guideline.
Social Media Management Services: If the Client hires the Photographer’s business for social media management, the Photographer will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content as outlined in a separate agreement. The Client agrees to provide timely access to necessary social media accounts, content, and approvals. Both parties will ensure compliance with platform policies and community standards.
11. Image Storage and Backup
Edited photos will be stored by the Photographer for a period of 14 calendar days after delivery, where the Client will be able to share the link with everybody to download the images.
It is the Client’s responsibility to download and back up all delivered files. The Photographer is not responsible for any lost files after the retention period.
12. Client Usage Rights
Personal Use License: The Client is granted a license to use the delivered images for personal, non-commercial purposes only and agrees not to sell or license the images to third parties.
Print Usage: The Client may display and share printed copies of the images for personal use but may not resell or profit from them.
13. Model and Property Release
The Client confirms that all necessary permissions (model releases, venue approvals, etc.) have been obtained for the session.
The Photographer is not liable for claims related to unauthorized use of people or property in the photos.
14. Photographer Breaks
The Photographer is entitled to a 10-minute break at their discretion, or bathroom breaks whenever needed, or in case of emergency.
15. Changes in Booking Details
The Client agrees to notify the Photographer by email of any changes to the session date, time, or location at least seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled session.
16. RAW Files
Request for RAW Files: The Client may request RAW files, but the Photographer reserves the right to decline. If the Photographer agrees to send the RAW files,
an additional 50% fee will be applied.
Restrictions on RAW Files: The Client agrees not to publish, edit, or alter RAW files in any manner.
17. Travel Fees
Local Travel: No fees apply within the 30km range.
Extended Travel: Beyond 30km, a fee of 25% of the price will be added.
Long-Distance/Overnight Travel: For distant sessions requiring overnight stays, the Client covers related costs (transportation, lodging, and meals), with an estimate provided in advance.
Of course, no hotel is needed; a small, safe apartment is enough (If required).
International Travel: For international bookings, the Client covers all travel expenses (flights, accommodations, local transportation, meals, etc.). A non-refundable deposit of 30% may apply.

18. Event Delays and Overtime
If the event runs longer than scheduled, the Photographer may stay at their discretion. Overtime is billed at a standard hourly rate (50€/h) unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
19. Limitation of Liability
Island Media is not liable for disruptions due to unforeseen events, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our control. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service, with no further claims or compensation.
20. Acceptance of Terms
By booking our services or using any content provided by Island Media, you agree to these Terms of Service. Continued engagement with our services constitutes acceptance of any updates or modifications to these terms.
21. Excessive Waiting Time
If the Photographer is required to wait longer than 20 minutes beyond the agreed start time due to Client or event delays, the Photographer reserves the right to leave the location. In such cases, no rescheduling will be offered.
If the Photographer is more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the Client has the right to cancel the session. Any payments made beyond the upfront deposit will be fully refunded, or the Client may choose to reschedule at no additional cost. The upfront deposit remains non-refundable.
